VITRUVIAN MAN goes to MED SCHOOL

July 22, 2015

An old homework assignment becomes a licensed illustration in a new medical app.

Back in anatomy class, circa 2011, we had to do freehand master copies of three pieces of art pertaining to the figure. I drew the "Vitruvian Man" for one of mine, as close as possible to the original, keeping the proportions of the square and circle identical. Now The Medical Company has licensed it and proudly using it everywhere in their latest app called, "MedSchool", aimed at new doctors and med-students alike.

Pretty great considering I'm certainly not the first person to redraw this image. Seems mine pops real quick if you google "Vitruvian Man", which is how they found me (thank you deviantart.com!)
